Zattoo, Free Tv From Europe

Friday, June 29th, 2007

Missing out on some channels from Europe? Zattoo on the downside takes up a lot of bandwidth… upto 400 Kbps.
The other downside is that the service is currently restricted to Switzerland, Denmark, Spain and the United Kingdom.
But don’t fret, it is expected to expand to other European countries, as well as the USA and Canada. If this program works for you, let me know. I am really curious to how well it really works.

Working at Cosmotravel

Thursday, June 28th, 2007

Recently I accepted a blogging position with Cosmotravel.com. Basically I write blogs on their website about traveling and send them a bill for all the blogs I that I write. I have never had a job before like this, but I like this trend. Blogging is becoming more and more popular and many companies see potential in blogging.

In order to find a job like this, I would recommend looking on craigs listings.

When you visit Cosmo travel, look for Worldtourist

Joost, from the makers of skype

Tuesday, June 26th, 2007

Right below the radar, is a new tv on pc program that was just introduced. Joost, a new media program from the skype creators, is supposed to change the way we watch tv.

However, in order to download and use this program you need to get an invite from one of the lucky people who got to download it first. Lucky for you I am able to send a few people invites in order to try out Joost. The first two posts will get invites.

What is Joost anyways?
The first unusual thing is the way that Joost starts up on the monitor as full screen. Once Joost is started up, you are able to choose from a number of categories ranging from music, to sports, to travel, adventure, and animation. Many will enjoy the MTV, Comedy Central and Fifth Gear channels. By using Joost you are able to watch old epsiodes as well as various clips.

Personally I find the concept unique, but do not expect too much from it. As it is still in Beta, there aren’t too many channels to choose from.

My other blog…

Sunday, June 24th, 2007

Besides for writing to this blog, I also have another blog that I write in every once in awhile.
The Life in Germany is basically what I am doing now and I write there some tips that I have been using towards tying to live in Germany without running out of money. Basically it is rather difficult being an American and trying to work in a foreign country. There is a lot of paperwork, and many companies aren’t sure how to work around it.

I do not update the blog as much as this one, but it is worth a look if you want to see more into more personal life.
