How much is your Domain worth?

Saturday, June 23rd, 2007

Leapfish offers the ability to rate your domain name based on its personal appraisal system.

Domain Name Appraised: clickfornick.com
Combined Domain Name Appraisal Value Score: 21
Top Level Domain Name Score: 10
Unwanted Characters Score: 10
Length Score: 1
Archive.org Score: 0
Google Search Results: 0
MSN Search Results: 1
Search Engine Score: 1

This way I can see that I need to work on getting my website on search engines, since my results were quiet low. Leapfish is also a good idea to appraise a website name before buying it.

How popular are your keywords? Submit your site on google

Saturday, June 23rd, 2007

Keywords are a very important aspect of getting awareness, so I have decided to share once again two more websites that I have stumbled across. The main problem with looking for keyword generators is the number of websites trying to charge for this service. It can be rather difficult to find a good system for generating good keywords.

Submit Express shows you approximately how many daily searches your keywords would get. Use this tool to research the best keywords for your website.

Softchecker’s website offers keyword programs that show the top keywords for any given topic.

The next step after creating a good list of keywords ist to submit your site on google. Simply goto http://www.google.com/addurl/ and submit your URL.

Pinging for Blog Publicity, More Ways to Gain Attention

Thursday, June 21st, 2007

In order to get your new blog posts known to the largest audience, Ping services such as Pingoat, BlogFlux, and Ping-o-Matic offer the ability to publish the awareness of your site to multiple servers with only one click. This allows you to get your new blog posts published quickly and therefore gaining more attention.

According to Wikipedia:

The use of ping servers to direct attention to recent blog posts has led to a rash of ping spam or sping, which attempts to direct readers to web pages that are not, in fact, recent blog posts. Examples:

* Product vendors who use a weblog-like format to post product ads, meaningless batches of Google keywords, etc.
* Software vendors, who sell scripts that make automated “weblog postings” every hour around the clock.
