Sometimes when you are far away from home, its nice be able to hear whats going on. When I’m not at home sometimes I like to listen to the local radio stations in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I have compiled a list of my favorite stations for my own benefits as well as yours if you feel like listening to music from my home town.

WGRD plays alternative, mostly light to hard rock music and a lot of previous hits from the 90s and early 2000s.

WKLQ is a pretty good rock station that plays harder music than WGRD.

WSNX plays a variety of songs, more in the pop category of music.

Wood Radio talk radio… My friend is working for this radio station in downtown GR.

If you aren’t in the United States, then to listen to some of these stations you are going to need to change your IP address. To do this, follow the instructions here: http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview?id=770300
A good list of proxys is here: http://proxy-list.org/
