Bad Urach: A great side trip
Published by Nick on August 13th, 2007 | Tagged Random

For a short side trip out I took a trip with my friends to Bad Urach. This is in the South of Germany, not very far from Tuebingen and Reutlinge. Here we were able to get a glimpse of true German nature. We walked a few kilometers first to a waterfall. The fall featured below was hidden within a forest and was supplied from a small stream above. The water here was so clean that many people use it as distilled water around their house. I would have put my feet in it, but it was too cold.

After the falls we treked a few more kilometers to a castle high up on a hill. The castle had been destroyed about 500 years ago, but the ruins have been left behind.
There are also a lot of secret rooms located within the ruins, this includes a dark room I found featured below.
Overall the trip was a lot of fun. We ended up exhausted and barely able to walk any further. The entire journey was five miles which was also mostly uphill.
