I was reading the site of Michael Kwan and realized that hes on to something. Michael Kwan is a freelance blogger. What he has done is create a personal site where he can showcase some of his blogging work. Not only this but hes also added references of people he has written for and he has a small biography about his personal life. The domain he is using, MichaelKwan.com also makes his profile easy to find.

Creating a personal portfolio is not only valuable for freelancing. This is also an effective way to sell yourself to any new job your are looking for. On Michael’s site he has even listed a services link where he lists the various services he will perform for a fee. This includes: Essays, Cover Letters, Resumes.

One thing is missing…
I would suggest adding a Resume to your Portfolio Website in two formats: a text file and a doc file. Having a resume online lets employers have the chance to download your resume whenever they need it.
