Naming your child after a domain name?

Wednesday, August 22nd, 2007

The new trend for naming babies is to first check and see if the domain name for the baby is available, if it is not they choose a different name.

Before the baby leaves the hospital parents check and make sure that the domain name is available and they immediately purchase it to ensure the baby will have their own Internet identity in the future.

A small but growing number of parents are getting domain names for their young kids, long before they can do more than peck aimlessly at a keyboard.

Meeting a Canadian In Neckarmueller Beer Garden

Tuesday, August 21st, 2007

Earlier on my blog: TheLifeInGermany.com I wrote a post about how to create your own language school. On the site I wrote:

There are a lot of students and adults who want to approve their English and willing to work with you. If you are a native speaker and live in Germany fill out my contact form and I will get back to you with more details

So a Canadian filled out the form. I decided it would be great to meet a fellow english speaker, so we ended up meeting last night for a beer. Of course we went to my favorite Beergarden in Tuebingen, Neckarmueller. Here they have their famous Neckarmueller Wheat Beer. He was overall a nice guy, trying to look for work in the city where I live in. I will add him to my language school team and start putting up flyers for our language services.

Why go to Neckarmueller for a Beer?
Why not? The beer is excellent. They even won the prize in 2005 for their great pizza, pretzels, and beer. I seem to end up here every week at least on e time.
