Have you waited until the last minute for Halloween and didn’t know what to wear. I’ve been there and didn’t know what costume to wear for Halloween. I’ve been lazy and I’ll admit cheap (didn’t want to go and spend that $40 on a costume). I have worn a free costume from time to time, by using my creative noggin.
The Traffic Barrel
Though this costume takes a little thievery, its free (and provided by the city). First you need find a traffic barrel, this costume works best with the barrel top (large and circular and not so well with actually cones). Once you have found a barrel, cut the top off. Cut out wholes on the sides for arms. Make sure also that the bottom is cut out so can walk. Take the top piece that you cut off and use it for traffic barrel hat. Tie string so that you can attach it to your head. When you are finished you should have a complete traffic barrel costume. You can try this with a traffic cone if you can fit inside it. This was my Halloween costume a couple years back. It actually worked pretty well
The Duct Tape Suit
I’ve heard of people going to the prom wearing a duct tape suit. They build an entire suit out of duct tape and go to a dance. It’s usually a real hit of the party and a cheap way to go (depending on how much duct tape costs).
The Candy Cane
This one is really easy. Just put on completely white clothes and wrap green or red duct tape around yourself so that it looks like a candy cane. This costume is actually clever enough so it won’t look like you waited till the last minute or spent almost no cash on it.
A Gift to the World
This one is probably the easiest costume to create last minute out of all of them. Take a cardboard box that you could fit into. Wrap the box, put on some bows. Cut holes in the box so you can wear. This is just easy, free, and great for last minute people like me.
