A shopping day with it’s own name, Black Friday. Black Friday is the day when retailers lower the prices on retails goods and make special deals to drive customers by the thousands in to start the Christmas season. Is the Black Friday 2007 really the best time to save money?

Have you ever noticed those people sitting in front of Best Buy (electronics store) for more than 12 hours to get a laptop? I’ve been one of those people. It takes determination and a lot of hot coffee to withstand it, especially in Michigan. For waiting 12 hours 2 years ago, I was able to buy a laptop for $200. Worth it? I’m still using today. Last year I was able to get a router for $5 after rebate and 30% off my entire Gap Clothing purchase. Is this the best time to shop? Yes.

Where to save with Black Friday 2007
Believe it or not, the sale ads come out online early every year (2007’s edition is already out), visit BFads.net. The biggest question is, should I wait in a line for 15 hours? Yes and No. Do you really need to save $100 on a Laptop? Think time vs money. If you make a lot of money at your current job, forget it. If you are a poor college student, fill up those flasks and stand in line.

Here is my Black Friday trick, just show up right when the store opens and squeeze in. Bring a friend and have them wait in line before it builds up too large. Store lines can wrap around the store before you know it. Visit malls second, they are never hit as hard as electronic stores. Get your electronic gear first, and your clothing second. But definitely do go shopping on this day. The crowds are crazy and it most certainly will give everyone a headache, but you won’t save more than you do on Black Friday.
