A few days ago, I wrote that using Google Trends can help increase traffic to your blog. I titled the post “Jennifer Love Hewitt Bikini Picture” since that was the number 3 ranked search word of that day.
I prove my point
Within three days after writing this post, I recieved 1,898 page views to that post alone. This traffic also equals something everyone wants, which also means increased money from Google. Yesterday, due probably to the effect of that one post, I set a new record, 12,000 page views and $68 from advetising on this site. If you are trying to earn money from blogging, remember, you won’t earn much without traffic. Those getting 100 to 200 page views per day can’t expect more than a few dollars each day. Just keep working hard and eventually you might just get that much wanted web traffic.
Google Trends for your Advantage
Visit Google.com/trends and look at the top ten keywords. These are the most searched keywords for the day. If you click on the keyword it will give you related keywords that are also high searched for. For instance, take Mitt Romney Speech, the number 2 search term today. Google Trends gives us these related search keywords
Related searches:
mitt romney, mitt romney religion speech, mitt, mittromney.com, mormon
When trying to grab hold of some of the traffic being generated by this keyword, make sure to title your post something like Mitt Romney speech. To further enhance your ability to capture traffic with this keyword, make sure to use “Mitt Romney” multiple times through your post. By writing “Mit Romney” multiple times throughout your post it lets Search Engine know, “Yes, this post is about Mitt Romney”.
