New Years Resolutions, Income Report December 2007
Published by Nick on January 1st, 2008 | Tagged monthly

Another New Year and the time when many make their New Years Resolutions for 2008. This also means another check from Google, Adbrite, and the others as I ring in the New Year. As I found out yesterday, Germans bring in the New Years by blasting millions of fireworks and hitting a few innocent bystanders. It got a little dangerous when some kids started throwing firecrackers at people.

My New Years Resolution
While many are making new resolutions and aim towards improving themselves, I am just going to enjoy everything I have. Rather than always stressing over getting better, why not look in the mirror and enjoy yourself. You are who you are and it is this uniqueness that makes you a great person, not the car you own or the house you live in. Sure there is always room to improve yourself, but don’t worry we are all great people, wealth is just a luxury, not a necessity.

My Earnings for December 2007
I made the goal to reach $2,000, a goal I missed by $180. Most blame would go towards the holiday seasons. Christmas turned a very low traffic day, ranking in only 6,000 visitors for the entire day, almost half of what I normally receive on any given day. Here are the figures and programs I used.

Kontera = $489
Google Adsense = $1,201.84
Adbrite = $19.14
Payperpost = $100
Primary Ads = $9.60
Total = $1819.58

What I Did This Month
I added Adbrite ad zones, tough this still seems to be very underperforming in relation to the other ad programs I use. See if Adbrite works for you by signing up here. Primary Ads is another new addition. I created a “samples” website called onlyfreesamples which is actually all affliate ads. Every time someone clicks a link on that site and signs up, I get from $1 to $2.50. That turned out also to be low performing.

Google Adsense has always been my top performer and best ad network. Though I’ve heard complaints, Google can be your best friend if you know how to use it properly. Sign up here for Adsense if you haven’t already.

Goals for this month? I will set out to reach $2,000, the goal I just barely missed this month.

      Hi do you earn from this blog itself or other blogs also included, Congrats for reaching nearer to the Goal, I wish This New Year you will Earn more , Have a nice day friend

      ClickforNick accounts for nearly 95% of the earnings, I do also factor in my other blog thelifeingermany.com, though that blog seems to only earn about $20 per month. The key is traffic. I recieve about 10,000 page impressions on any given day. You can’t expect to earn a ton with only say 200 impressions per day.

      I’ve started doing better SEO and been getting much more traffic from Google. I’ve also been gaining a high number of subscribers which also helps.

      Hey Nick.
      I am starting down this path of blogging and revenue generation and traffic building for my site (http://www.ShortOnChange.com). I spent a lot of money on Google Adwords and Microsoft Ad Center last month. I have since suspended those advertising campaigns until I get a better handle on how to better utilize them. I am curious as to whether or not you use such pay per click advertising for your site traffic?
