Gas is a real wallet burner, practically setting our money on fire, burning up before we even knew we had it. I’ve tried everything to save money on gas. These are the best tips I’ve come up with for limiting the burn on your wallet and save money on your precious fill up of gasoline.

Drive Slow
1. Don’t we all hate those cars that go extremely slow on the highway. I mean come on go the speed limit! Driving below 60 can increase your fuel efficiency by 23 percent. 2. Don’t go pedal to the metal (a real gas burner). Rather increase slowly like your grandparents.
3. Turn down the AC. It’s draining all your gas and decreasing gas efficiency.

Take Less Trips
1. Is it really worth renting that video from the video store that is 10 miles away? That could actually cost you an extra $6 just picking the movie up and dropping it off. Why not combine more trips together. Get the movie, groceries, and that crazy mohawk haircut all in the same trip rather than 3 seperate.

Get Gas Money Back
What about getting some change back in your pockets after buying that gas? Two credit cards, Discover Platinum Gas Card, and Chase Cash Plus both give you 5% back on your gas purchases. That would make that $3 per gallon gas price 15 cents lower.
