I used to do with my advertising with Kontera, a service that turns your text into link ads, but no longer? Lately Kontera just plain sucks. Another question is, what alternatives are there to Kontera?
Kontera’s Very low ECPM
ECPM stands for earnings per 1,000 page views. Kontera used to pay me well, I would get $20 per day for 6,000 page views. Not at all spectacular, but decent enough. Lately though, this amount has dropped to as low as $4 or $5. This equals out to .004 cents per click. Can you name any other ad program that pays that low? I mean why is Kontera even worth running for such a low payout?
Kontera Sucks
Yeah I’ll say it, with payouts this low, I don’t think anyone will continue to use Kontera as their main source of advertising.
Alternatives?
For one option, try LinkWorth. LinkWorth will turn your text ads into links, yet you can charge individually per text ad rather than a per click basis. Signup
Secondly, I’d try out Adbrite. Adbrite offers a per click solution. It offers both in post text ads and their own in text advertising system. Signup

It looks like Kontera paid you the most for your January earnings… You must be seeing a significant increase with LinkWorth?

I’ve seen significant increases in Adbrite, and I am in the middle of some ad deals with Link worth, seems like I will hit the $3000 mark this month.

That is an amazing number. Have not had allot of luck with link workth
