Can I look rich without being rich? Is it important just to be appear rich? What I’ve noticed is that appearing rich can sometimes lead you in that direction.
I only look rich, but I’m not
Would you be more tempted to read my blog if I told you I made $10,000 per month than $2000? I could lie and mislead my readers and they wouldn’t have reason to doubt me. Would it increase my readership, probably. So many people are fascinated with the though of being rich that they love to read celebrity tabloids, watch shows like the rich and famous and dream of being rich. We love hearing stories from rags to riches, but how for many people does an actual story come true. Yes, there are people making 6 figure incomes on the internet, but not everyone can be so lucky.
Look Rich, though you aren’t
What does it take to look like you have more money than you do? A big screen tv? A Mercedes Benz? Nice clothes? Actually it doesn’t take much to look like you’ve got more money than you do. Just be a second hand shopper. This means buying everything months after it’s been released. Clothes? I frequent the Nordstrom Rack and Marshall’s in the US, picking up designer clothes from designers like Ralph Lauren, Diesel, and 7 for all Mankind for less than half the original price tag. Cars? I buy all my cars used, but the better model such as a used BMW, (though I’ve been told girls see right through that).
Bird of feather flock together
This saying is true no matter how you see it. Bums migrate together. People of a certain country, color of skin, or language tend to stick together. The same goes with money. People of certain classes also tend to hang around together. Rich actors hanging out with other rich actors and middle class families tend to have, also middle class friends.
