Blogging Fulltime, Working Fulltime, How to Blog and Work Fulltime
Published by Nick on March 15th, 2008 | Tagged Blogging

I recently wrote about speed blogging in an attempt to find a solution to full time work and full time blogging. If you are still working full time, but want to become a full time blogger, it’s not easy to just up and quit your full time job. As well, you might up in my situation where you want to blog, yet still enhance your current qualifications through internships and schooling. How do you find the balance between full time blogging and full time work?

Time Posting, Use Your Weekends
You don’t have to post everyday. When I have more time on Monday, but know already I won’t have time on Tuesday, I write extra posts on Monday and have them automatically posted for Tuesday. You could also use your weekends to write all your posts for the week.

Hire some extra help
If you want to enhance your skills, but don’t want to give up blogging, try hiring a freelance writer. You won’t have to give up your blog entirely, rather use a freelance writer to make sure that you have posts constantly being added to your blog, even when your don’t have time to blog. Places that I’ve looked for a freelance blogger include freelanceswitch.com, placing an ad is free.

Learn to speed blog
As I wrote earlier, learning to speed blog when limited on time can be an effective way to write a few blog posts when limited on time.

Write a few backup posts
I always try to keep a few drafts saved just in case. Write a few posts that you can use in case of emergencies. You never know when you might have an emergency, accident, or just a huge headache and can use this backup posts.
