A school in Missippi has considered implementing a new blogging program within their school system as a way to deal with issues.
DJournal.com:
“…the program would be a definite asset since it would allow students to anonymously pass on information through Internet blogs including their concerns with bullying, stresses at home and school, pregnancy, suicide and possible drop-out issues. They would be allowed to contact up to five school personnel including the principal, guidance counselor, assistant principal and others. These choices are left up to the individual school.”
Is blogging the ultimate form of communication and a great way for students to anonymously pass on how they feel? It seems that in the school system, a lot of issues go unnoticed. Rather than talking about it, students may just drop out. With anonymous blogging, students might be able to get their voices better heard, while at the same time not being afraid to voice their opinions.
