Drink Beer, Win $300
Published by Nick on March 4th, 2008 | Tagged Uncategorized

What do you think about light beer? It seems either people love it or hate it. Though I’m accustomed to strong German beers, the last time I’ve had a light beer was in the USA. In college, light beer is the cheapest beer. When you are accustomed to living on as little as $300 a month, $100 after paying rent, any beer is a good beer. So what does this have to do with $300? Brand Noise is offering a $300 to the winner of their mobile phone survey for answering questions based on light beer.

The Requirements
Everyone who answers all 10 questions will be entered for a chance to win a $300 Amazon gift card. The survey is being presented to a small number of participants, so the odds of winning are about 1500 to 1. Considering the odds of bowling a 300 game is 11,500 to 1 and the odds of getting a hole in one is 5000 to 1, that’s pretty good.

- To start the survey
text the word beer to 247365.

- There are 10 quick text-and-reply questions in the mobile survey.

- For contest rules please visit http://brandnoise.typepad.com/brand_noise/scenariodna-survey-sweeps.html

The odds seem good, and 10 questions don’t seem that bad. However, odds of wining could be more or less based on the number of respondents. Though the website does claim 1500 to 1, I think that is a really rough figure. The main question is, is the chance to win $300 with unknown odds, worth the time to answer 10 questions?
