Ireland, a lack of Blogging in Ireland
Published by Nick on March 5th, 2008 | Tagged Blogging

There is a reason not many people are blogging in Ireland. Consider that (according to news.com)”15.4 people per 100 had broadband, and it’s a small population on top of that.” Of course who really can experience the internet on anything less than broadband? I can’t even remember the last time I heard the buzzing of my dial up modem.

“A lot of people in the Irish tech community also tend to be somewhat reserved. You don’t see execs or companies publishing their own blogs like Sun’s Jonathan Schwartz does.”

But, if you think Ireland is bad, it still hits the world average, readwriteweb claims that the average internet penetration is only 15.7%.  That’s a lot of growth that’s left for the internet.
