Karma, best summed up as what goes around comes around, does Karma hold true for the Internet as well?
Internet Karma in the form of “Blogger Love
Bloggers often post their own Internet Karma posts often referred to as “Blogger Love”. They’ll post about other bloggers, such as interesting post they’ve read. Megavegalicious recently wrote Nick (me) is “a free spirit, a traveler at heart that writes a nice blog.” Though it’s not necessary often writing about another blogger and link to their site, will often lead to an equally good dead in return… the other blogger seeing your link might link back to your blog, link to you, or leave a nice comment. Internet Karma at it’s finest.
Internet Karma Commenting
I’ll often leave comments with a link back to my website as I read other bloggers posts… often, those same bloggers will come back to my site, read a few articles and leave comments as well… what goes around comes around…
Bad Internet Karma
With this same logic, there’s also such a thing as bad internet Karma. You do something bad to someone else in the blogsphere and something worse might happen back to you. Start stealing articles from people, images, or wordpress templates without asking and well Karma might just come back to get you. You might get a slew of people writing bad comments on your blog, people writing posts about how much you suck (though this might not be a bad thing traffic wise).
Just remember, what goes around comes around… Treat other bloggers with respect and they’ll do the same… but start acting dirty… and Karma might just come to bite you in the …

Thanks for the mention, Nick! I totally agree with this Karma thing, you and many other good bloggers out there deserve it. We are all in this together, in pretty much the same position, so why not help eachother reach new audiences and spread the word? As for the bad Karma, it’s a shame how some people steal content and leave comments attacking other bloggers.
Keep up the good work and all the best to you!

Your last two posts really relate to me. I am a new blogger who is obsessed with blog design. I think maybe I should focus more on spreading more internet Karma and less on my design.
Great posts!

I am also new to blogging. I have looked into and read a lot of blogs and one thing that is for sure, blogging is its own world and I can see how blog Karma can work to help or hurt a blogger. Good or bad word spreads quickly in the blogsphere.
