I’ve been looking to get a car, and why not get the most fuel efficient one? With gas prices soaring higher and higher, it only makes sense to look for a car with the most fuel efficiency right?
Toyota Prius: The Most Fuel Efficient Car (according to fuel economy.gov)
With 48 City and 45 Hwy, Gas prices aren’t going to concern you (unless they climb even higher). It’s a hybrid, so you’ll be using both Gas and electricity, a good combination as long as they aren’t used together… Boooom. But, in reality it’s safe. The only concern I’d have is the maintenance costs to fix a car this complex, plus the battery isn’t going to last forever.
smart fortwo Convertible
This would be my car of choice. It has a $17,000 which comes with all the features like air conditioning, radio, alloy wheels, sunroof, power windows and power mirrors. Plus it gets 31 City 41 Highway. Of course if you want to spend a little less, just get the basic smart model that costs around $12,000. Not bad for having a car everyone’s going to look at, at least at first. Plus this thing parks in amazingly small spaces.

Honda Civic Hybrid
It’s almost as fuel efficient as the Prius. With 40 City, 45 Highway, you’ll be laughing at everyone who’s driving an inefficient truck. Plus, the car is going to run you at about $22,000, ranked one of the most affordable compact cars. But, if you’re looking for something sporty, the Civic Hybrid really isn’t going to do that.
And the least efficient? Lamborghini Murcielago
This car looks awesome, and it will blow away anyone else in a race. Smart car? Saw it about 2 miles ago. You probably don’t care about fuel costs when you can afford the $300,000 price tag. If you’re curious it gets 9 City, 4 Highway.
