The Gas Powered Cooler

Sunday, May 25th, 2008

Why not drive your cooler around, gas powered, rather than lugging the cooler around yourself?

The Booz Cruiz Mobile
It’s a motorized cooler.  You can ride this around full of beer and “drink and drive” though I’m pretty sure that’s illegal.  Rather I’d use it sell pop on a warm day.  The cooler does go 15mph which is pretty fast for a cooler.  You’ll also have a range 15 mph which will get you all around the park.

Of course a gas powered cooler costs at least $300 but, you’ll be getting awesome gas mileage, attract a lot of attention and maybe even make a few bucks.

Easy Ways to Waste Money

Saturday, May 24th, 2008

We can waste money before we know it!  Plus where does all our money go?  Sure our paycheck seems big, but is the money wasted right before your eyes?

1. Getting fake nails – though I know this isn’t a problem for guys, those nails salons charge a bundle. Try taking care of the nails you’ve got instead of spending loads on some fake ones…

2. Smoking – I can’t think of a worse habit. $5 a pack and expensive medical bills in the future? Sure it has a nice calming effect, but there plenty of other ways to achieve that same effect.

3. Organic Products – This can be wasteful, depending on your fruit consumption habits. The problem with organic is that they expire faster. So if you don’t plan on eating that organic fruit right away, don’t buy it or stick to regular fruit.

4. Putting higher quality gas in your tank – Why put in Super or Premium when there is no added effect to your car? (unless you have to use that kind of gas).

5. Energy Drinks – People drink them trying to stay up through the night, but drinking these drinks everyday really add up. For the amount you get, $2 really can add up.

6. Plastic Cups and Silverware – Like paying to build up our landfills, try using those cups that you can use over and over.

7. Lottery tickets- did anyone say poor man’s tax?

8. Driving – Drive a huge vehicle and waste gas? At least try getting more done in less trips. I’d prefer to drive a moped around when I don’t need to go far.Filling Up Gas

How to be a Woman, Steps to be a Woman

Friday, May 23rd, 2008

Steve Pavlina writes about life inspirations, his how to be a man post, resulted in a follow up of many people writing exactly how to be a woman.  No how to be a woman has nothing to do with crossdressing, or anything of that nature.  Rather, how to be a woman is about being a woman in the modern day, dispelling all the old stereotypes.

Do what you want
Women do have so many more options today.  They can get involved in the working life, bring in a second income, and still have options to still raise a family.  No longer is the woman responsible for all the housework, but it’s often an equal job being shared by both the man and the woman.

Being Aggressive
No longer does the woman wait around for someone to “court” her.  Woman have as much right to ask a man out on a date, as they do to ask them to marry.  We do live in an equality society.

Taking Control Of Business
There are more resources than ever for a woman to start her own career, be the boss.  Though we typically see the man as in power, on the top, the CEO, many women are now taking charge.   Of course you’ve probably heard of Meg Whitman, former CEO of Ebay.

In the end, women have more and more right toward living the life they want rather than supporting someone else’s.  We should revel in the fact that even the United States has come closer than ever toward getting a woman and president and may just get it’s first black president.

Welcome to a New Blogger, Advice for New Bloggers

Thursday, May 22nd, 2008

I’m focusing this post on a new blogger that recently entered the blogsphere after having read my blogs for sometime. Irisha, rather new to blogging, has created lifeofirisha.blogspot.com as a way to not only experiment as a new blogger, but write something interesting for people to read. I met Irisha awhile back over in Yekaterinburg, Russia her home town, and have since visited her in England where she is married to a nice husband who often pretends he’s an owl.

Using blogspot as she has, is a great place for new bloggers to start out, with no costs involved, and allow them to experiment freely. I myself started out with blogger because it’s just so easy. All the layouts are already there, and you get a url that isn’t difficult to remember, yourname.blogspot.com.

The Life of Irisha
Rather than focusing solely on writing like I tend to do, Irisha features plenty of pictures, that mean more than words. So the blog isn’t entirely about her life, rather different tidbits of interesting information like the latest architectural creation for Kiev, Ukraine. Just because she likes writing so much she also created newsofthemews.blogspot.com another blog designed just for news, interesting news at that.

Advice for New Bloggers
If you want to be creative, experiment and have a little fun, stick with blogspot. You can easily buy a domain name later. If you want to create a business page, or try to create a massive website, buy a domain from the start. Switching domains is like starting from ground zero.
