The folks over at Zappos has paid employees to quit their job, in fact to quit their job, they are given a $1000 bonus. Why? They want commited employees. Only those employees that take the money to quit their job, are probably ones that Zappos didn’t want anyway. They find it a great way to weed out their employees.
This paid to quit logic, might be another reason why Zappos has been so successful. In fact they expect sales of more than $1 billion this year, up from just $70 million five years ago. They sell shoes, but they sell an awful lot of shoes. Their success might even just be their shipping practices. In fact they promise free, four-day delivery. In fact much of the time they even manage to get net day delivery. That leaves an unforgettable impression.
Would you take the money and run?  Though, that many would only get you so far. But, Zappos apparently does have a 10% run rate, 10% who take the money and get paid to quit.
