You like to party, but you go out and find you’ve spent half your paycheck. Whoops. Going out to party and being able to spend less takes a few steps that I use when I’ve gotta start saving my cash.
1. Research your party: Find out which clubs aren’t charging cover charge for the night, which clubs have the cheapest drink specials. Most of the time these clubs will be packed due to the cheap prices.
2. Coupon cutting: Save those pizza coupons. You know you’re going to have people over and you will all be looking for snacks. Bust out those pizza coupons. Though studies say then when around a date, coupons are embarassing.
3. Avoid a Tab: Bars create tabs for one reason, you’ll easily lose track of your drink purchases. Do what I do and pay for each drink, no tabs. In fact, if you can’t control your spending, only bring the maximum amount of cash with you that you are willing to spend.
4. Predrinking: Predrinking helps get some of that alcohol in your system before getting your party on. Though don’t be the driver or overall drink.
5. Party at home: We all know that an evening drinking at home is much cheaper than going out. Of course its lame to always stay in, but never spend what you don’t have.
