Need to get some external links going for your website?  There are so many places to get free traffic I don’t know where to begin to tell you some of the easy ways to build links.  Your site needs traffic to survive, so follow some of these methods to get even more links to your site.

1. Give stuff away with your link on it.  Start building some free wordpress themes.  Just modify some of the existing themes and make them your own.

2. Start guest posting and submitting articles at other websites.

3. Start writing posts at services like e-how.com and hubpages.com.

4. Use ebay. Find a way to exploit ebay to list your website and what you offer in the title.

5. Trade links with other websites.

6. Get interviewed by local media, news, and print sources.

7. Get your website reviewed by  Coder.com, Critics-Corner.com, SiteOwnersForums.com.

8. Create a Craigslist ad advertising your site.  Be clever, because many people on Craigslist are a bit happ to push that spam overpost button.
