When to hire a new blog writer?
Published by Nick on July 20th, 2008 | Tagged Blogging

You like to blog, and you became a blog writer just for fun, but a year later your blog is actually a business, and you find it actually turning into a second 40 hour job.  Your blog because less fun than it was a first.  Many days you wake up and regret have to be the only writer for your blog.

If your life sounds anything like this, it is time to hire a new or even second blog writer.

Benefits?

More time to focus on more important things.  Maybe writing isn’t your thing.  You can focus on promotion and getting the word out without having to think about writing the actual blog.

More free time. You still generate cash while you pay your writer say $5 per post.   Your blog keeps running even though you aren’t running it.

Time to focus on a new blog.  While someone continues your successful blog, you can focus on a new blog, and then like your previous blog, find a writer, and start writing on that blog.

Where to Advertise?

After personally advertising jobs, I find free is better than paying, so I would recommend  Craiglist.  It’s a great place to find writers willing to write.

FreelanceSwitch.com is another free place to advertise your position.  In actuality the job seekers foot the bill.

Your website is beautifully decorated and easily navigated. I have enjoyed visiting this site today and hope to visit many more times in the future.

      Hi Nick,

When you hire writers, do you have them sign some document that says that you now own the posts they have created? Is there a contract they sign? I’m looking into hiring a few writers and I wanted to know how this works.
