When I received a comment earlier from the Publishers Union of Bloggers I was intrigued, was there actually a blogger’s union being formed?

“P.U.B. is your Union. While you publish, P.U.B. is working to make sure blog platforms & blog ‘Widgets’ provide transparency on issues critical to success of Blog Publishers”

At first glance it sounds like a good idea, but I’m skeptical.  First off, they chose to host this idea on blogspot which any blogger knows isn’t a great idea.  Second they didn’t even properly set up their domain name http://www.blogpublishersunion.com. As of this moment it just redirects to a .blogspot domain. What is the point of getting a domain if all it does is forward out.

I’d like them to be great, but with what I’ve seen so far, I can’t tell what blogging experience they actually have that qualifies them as a representative of bloggers. But, if they manage to make a difference despite a possible lack of experience, then I’ll be happy to support them.
