Email is dead, it is official and it is time you started looking for alternative to email rather than killing your time reading spam emails.  Thanks to big time spammers, over half our email is spam, so personally I’ve found alternatives for emailing.

1. Facebook and Social Networking Alternatives: Facebook seems ok for now.  It is an easy way to send messages to your friends.  I can’t remember when I’ve actually emailed a friend that wasn’t business related.

2.  Instant Messanger - Even AIM is getting slightly spammy, but besides the occasional one or two messages I recieve, you can more easily get the message across by sending a message to someone than emailing.

3.  Microblogging - Get the point across with a blog like BustaBlog.com or twitter.

4. SMS - Using the short message system is a great way to schedule activities rather than relying on email. This way it goes directly to their phone.
