How to completely give up coffee
Published by Nick on August 4th, 2008 | Tagged how to

As you become accustomed to the 9 to 5 world, you also get used to drink plenty of coffee.  After awhile you might find that it is hard to just give up coffee entirely.

Step One to Give Up Coffee

Switch from coffee to tea.  Tea still has caffeine, but not as much.  (Better for your teeth too).  Try reducing your amount of coffee cups each week and replace them with tea cups.  In the end end you’ll drink more tea.  Then slowly reduce from tea, to non caffinated tea.

Many believe that coffee blocks your creative flow, and though it may help keep you awake it often gets you working on tasks that are less important rather than what really needs to be done.  I’ve kept myself awake on coffee, but often I’ll find it’s more difficult to think on my own.

Reasons Why Giving Up Coffee and Caffeine is good for you

1. Caffeine is known to intefer with weight loss
2. Feelings of anxiety, nervousness and irritability
3. Rapid speech
4. The jitters
5. Sleeplessness even though the caffeine was consumed many hours before
6. Incessant thinking and restlessness that interferes with relaxing

Very interesting post….I personally only have 2 cups of coffee a day, this is just to get me going in the mornings as I start work at the crack of dawn so to say. I am normally a tea drinker and find that I only really have hot drinks in winter in summer its water water!!!
