The internet in China is exploding, which back in 1998 had only 2 million users, now is overtaking the United States in number of internet users. One internet mogal of China, Mr. Ma of Alibaba is one of the original internet mogals of China getting rich off Alibaba and now joining the ranks of the super rich in China.

His site Alibaba lets people join the world of global trading, which was valued at about $4.2 billion.

Mr. Ma had a great idea, linking chinese made manufacturers with the rest of the world, which much of the time ends up as drop shipping.

Of course the beginning of Mr. Ma’s internet company Alibaba wasn’t easy at the start.”Four years ago, we were naïve. There was fierce fighting,” said Mr. Ma of Alibaba. “Now all of us are survivors. We are more calm-minded.”
