A viral website, almost like mouth to mouth marketing, is a great way to market your site and grow traffic… fast.  I’ve come up with a few techniques for making your website viral, which will help make your website traffic grow fast.

1. Creating a Viral Video - Videos are a great way to get your website name out there, and a way to hit a new medium, video.  There are so many video sites out there… Googe Video, YouTube… that you can market your video to plenty of users.

Make sure your video is worth watching.  I’ve noticed that people don’t like feeling tricked.

2. Write Valuable Articles - Submitting your article to ArticleCity.com or GoArticles.com is a great way to find some additonal traffic, just by looking like a pro and putting your link to your site in your article.

3. Create Social Profiles of Your Website – Sites such as MySpace and Facebook are a great place to give your website it’s own profile.

4. Social Post Individual Articles – StumbleUpon.com, Digg.com, Del.Icio.us are a great place to submit your articles. (Be careful as I’ve had my IP banned at Digg.)

5. Email Signatures - Setting your website in your email signature is a great way to promote your site to the people you already email.  Why not let them indirectly know as well?

In conclusion, there are plenty of ways to get traffic.  By using the viral website that exist, you can take advantage of them and help use these ways to make your website, blog go viral.
