2. Starting a new blog can be a pain - I’d estimate it takes me nearly 8 months of work to turn out a really successful website.  It simply takes time to get articles indexed, gain a page rank, gain respect, get people to read your feed, use your service etc.

Whatever the case, website flipping (similar to house flipping) can be successful.  Taking a little known blog and turning it into it’s own brand and then selling the result can be profitable.  Many bloggers do find this a successful way to live.  There is something nice about watching a blog grow and the feeling knowing that you are the direct cause of the success.
