Cd Baby launched has a great way for independent artists to sell their music and directly earn cash.  Most albums are less than $10, with the option to directly download albums or get them in mp3 format.

For those of you who aren’t sure about these artists (you probably haven’t heard of them), you can listen to 2 minute long samples in 128k format before you decide to buy.  Just enough time to get a good feel for the music, without the artist having to fear that their music is getting stolen.

So Independent Artists now have more options to get their music out, more than ever before.

In fact before the dawn of the internet, I found it hard to discover new bands, now I have so much music I need a second hard drive (over 150 gigs of music).  Where does someone find time for all the independent artists out there?  Now there are more music genres than anyone could ever point out, with out printing out a long list… ghetto style techno, electroclash?
