Published by admin on September 7th, 2008 | Tagged Blogging

Blogging comes with some distractions from the online world, that comes from all the other activities on the internet, that disrupt our blogging, and in the end add of unneeded time to write posts, due to variety of blogging distractions.

Our List for the Top Online Distractions

1. Social Networks - Do you leave facebook running and hear ping?  With the new chat feature, you can get easily distracted.

2. Feed Reader - If you subscribe to feeds like me, you’ve got a large variety of news feeds being fed to you, which if you aren’t careful, you end up reading news, instead of your intended bloggin.

3. Too Many Blogs - Common conception is: More Blogs, more money.  But this often doesn’t let you focus on your top earning blogs, and spreads your efforts thin, leaving you with many poorly written posts, rather than a few good ones.

4. Chat - Chatting is by far the most distracting activity.  We go online and the first thing thing we get is a message… “hi!” and from then into some distracting non important conversation.

The easiest way to fight distracting blogging activities?

Simply disconnect yourself from everything other than what is needed for blogging. Put your messenger status to away.  Even better, if you can write the majority of your post offline, do it.  There is no way to stay focused than writing a blog post in a text editing program with no internet access. No online conectivitiy, no distractions?
