So you want to make your blog better than the other blogs out there? I mean just check out Wordpress.com, this website alone registers 141,371 new posts each day, how can you, one blog compete with that? You can be doing all the things these casual writers aren’t doing.
1. Observe the trends: Write about popular topics, that people are going to search for
2. Be an Authority: Be an expert in the topic you write about.
3. Use proper SEO techniques: The biggest factor I’ve noticed is not labeling blog titles properly. If you can’t describe your post in the title, no one is going to find it!
4. Keep things personal: Show that you aren’t just some machine, but rather a person with thoughts like all the rest of us out there.
When I started blogging, I blogged for fun, and that didn’t really get me anywhere. When I wanted to be the top, I started applying these techniques to push myself above the rest. While I can say there are certainly other factors, any blog should be able to reach some level of standard simply by following proper blogging technique.
