How To Pay Less for Sprint Mobile Phone Service

Sprint, like any mobile phone company, attempts to overcharge you for their service.  Paying less with Sprint, seems more like a maze, trying to figure out what in their mobile phone service isn’t a ripoff, versus what is.  Take Sprints latest mobile phone plan offer.

When buying a mobile phone, you have to buy 1) accessories 2) add ons 3) phone service.

So after Sprint advertises a cheap deal, say $40 inclusive internet and phone service, you think alright that’s all I need. Here is where Sprint gets tricky.  They try to upsell you features that normally cost nothing.

1) They’ll offer you the ability to run an adhoc internet connection between laptop and pc and want to charge you $20 per month, when this can actually already done for free by your phone.

2) Then you want active sync between your laptop and mobile phone for Outlook, once again Sprint tells you it costs a monthly fee, when in act active sync is available free from Microsoft.

3) After you buy the phone you’ll realize you need special equirement to charge it via your car, with some 7 pronged adapter that only this phone has.  So you’ll shell out $30 for a power cable, that does the same as the standard $7 one.

So my rant for the day? Be an informed consumer and to pay less for Sprint, simply don’t buy into any of the selling upgrades.  Simply just buy the basic package, and usually everything else is in someway available for free.
