Wordpress Forces Ads on Wordpress.com Users

So wordpress.com offering free wordpress blog hosting, is now going to out ads on users blogs.  They are also offering no compensation for users on their wordpress blogs.  No revenue sharing program and an option to opt out of the ads for a monthly fee.

This should bring Wordpress a lot more revenue considering they have already over 4 million blogs hosted.

Message for Wordpress.com Users?

They’ve been giving free away too long, and decided it’s now time to collect some money for their efforts.  It seems only fair, though it would be fairer if users could share in the revenue.

Wordpress Alterative with Ad Sharing

I built BustaBlog.com as a way for users to share in the revenue from blogging. In order to fund support, upgrades, and the constant work that goes into improving the blog experience we take a small percentage of the ad profits.

Since the creation, we’ve had over 2,000 unique blogs created, and built a small community of bloggers, with their latest post getting featured on the front page.
