If you use ad programs like I do, then finding the best click through rate on your ads can lead to the most earnings for your blog.  High click through rate naturally = higher earnings on your blog.  But, the key is finding the perfect balance of ads on your site, and even the correct ad companies to use for earning a good click through rate.

So what is a good click through rate?

Usually as a real of thumb 10% is something to aim for.  Anything lower and you might be missing something.   By using text advertising and Google ads I manage to reach above 10% click through rate and get about $10 per thousand page views.

If you use Google Adsense exclusively you might notice you are limited to 3 ads per page.  Keep moving ads around until you find the best positioning. Take advantage of your Google Adsense for search advertising to try and gain some extra cash off of searches.
