Shopping for under $2,500, New Sarah Palin Wardrobe

Saturday, October 25th, 2008

People were astounded by what the GOP paid for the wardrobe of Sarah Palin, so much that bloggers have been stressing that you can get all the outfits of Sarah Palin for under $2,500 the price paid for just her Valentino Vest.

Tips for better shopping

1. Never pay retail price – Retail is always marked 2 or 3 times above what it should be.

2. Use shops like TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Century 21, Nordstrom Rack to get things after they hit the original pricey stores to find them upto 50% cheaper. Even overstock.com is a good place to shop

Shop at stylish, yet cheaper outlets

Obama’s wife is a frequent H&M shopper.  There are plenty of trends to be found there as well as Urban Outfitters, sometimes even Walmart.  Who needs to be wearing designer sock anyway?

Friday, October 24th, 2008

The new thinnest internet mobile device is here, the USI – MID-160 featuring internet wifi. The MID-160 has a 5-inch 800×480 pixel touch screen with 167,000 colors. We were pretty impressed by the specs of the MID-160 and the 8gb SSD drive is not bad at all.

MID160 Specifications

  • Processor : Intel Atom Processor
  • Display : 5-inch touch screen
  • Memory : 512MB
  • : Ubuntu Linux
  • Hard Disk : 8GB SSD
  • Wireless : Supports WiFi 802.11b/g, Bluetooth, GPS, HSDPA or WiMAX
  • Weight : 250g

The MID-160 sets to create a so called PC-like internet experience.  This means blogging can be more portable than ever, something we’ve already started playing around with on our mobile phones.  The MID-160 should make portable blogging even easier. It also has the WiMAX support so as more cities adopt this standard, the MID-160 is going to be really beneficial.

Free Browser Based Wakeup Alarm Clock, Sleep.FM

Thursday, October 23rd, 2008

Sleep.fm is a new startup offering a wakeup alarm clock that is completely browser based and set to play a sound whenever you want to wakeup.  Sure it isn’t so complex but what is cool is the fact that you can wake up to the current time, date, and weather.  As long as your pc is on and your browser is up, you too can wake up in style and know exactly what the day beholds.

Since Sleep.FM is new, I’ve had a few instances of server downtime, but hopefully after traffic dies or they get a new server their  wakeup alarm clock will be a bit more stable.
