You know I’ve been blogging the last year and never saw a reason to get a 9 to 5 job until recently.  When you blog. you end up spending most of your time couped up working on your blogging job, with no reasons to make contact with civilization.

Reasons to get a Second Job

1. You need to find friends

Finding friends without working can be difficult. Working automatically gives you a connection and a reason to talk to someone.  Some great jobs are social ones, where you get to talk to a lot of people. Try being a waiter, or working somewhere people your age work.

2. Get some extra experience

Finding another job in your related field can give you some extra experience in case whatever else you do goes sour. Try finding something remotely related to what you do.

3. Get out of the House

If you need a reason more than this to get a second job, I’m not sure what else there is.  Sometimes a second job is just good for giving you a distraction.  Keep in mind you can always quit, but that you are doing it just for pleasure.  Work and pleasure? It is possible as long as you find someone you like doing.

Conclusion on my Reasons to get a Second Job

Nothing is ever perfect, but getting a second job might help you get a new prespective on life, and give you something else to do.  The amount you get paid leads to financial security, but not always happiness.
