Blogging For Income in a Bad Economy?
Published by admin on December 9th, 2008 | Tagged Blogging

With the economy looking bad, and people losing their income as their jobs get cut left and right, is blogging an alternative to make quick cash in a tight spot?

Using a Bad Economy for Your Blogging Benefit
If your blog does make a profit, now is one of the best times to start hiring employees.  With everyone out of a job, there is a much higher demand for blogging, with people willing to work for less, just to get some additional income.  With blogging, you are allowed to hire people on freelance pay, and simply pay according to the demand.  The higher the demand to blog for you, the less you’ll need to pay.

My Experience With Blogging in a Bad Economy
As the economy shrinks, so does the amount I earn per ad.  Most Adsense publishers will notice a drop in income.  However, as a blogger who has hired people in the past, you will also notice an increase in applications for people who want to blog for you. Use this to your advantage.  Look for skilled writers, but don’t be afraid to pay a little less.  With demand on your side, earning even a little bit less, is better than earning none at all.

Personal Blogging in a Bad Economy
If you do notice your income drop a bit, use this time to continue to build your blog up so when things do turn around, you’ll be ready for it.  Every economy has good and bad times, but even in the bad times, quitting isn’t always the best option.  Hang in their, keep working and wait for the good times.
