Is Oxite a bit late in the game to introduce a new open source blogging platform? In new compeition to Wordpress, Microsoft decided to release their own blogging platform. Oxite is made for developers as well as it has the ability integrate with Microsoft developer software such as ASP.Net MVC, Visual Studio Team Suite, and Background Services Architecture.
Basically Microsoft says that Oxite isn’t intended to be competition rather an alternative for developers to use a blogging system more guared toward the developer software from Microsoft. Mix Online currently uses Oxite.
There might be plans for a version of Oxite suitable for the general public in the near future.
