One of the biggest improvements I made this year was giving up tv (television, that tube with many colors?) since it really wasn’t helping my productivity at all. I found that when I finally was able t Give Up TV I had a lot more time in my day to read books, work on my blog, and workout. Now don’t get me wrong, I still watch TV, I only gave up TV on TV (the live stuff) and watch solely online.
How to Give Up Television
1. Take the TV out of your room (sell it?) and make sure it is unplugged.
2. Give up the TV guide
3. Watch all your programming online. Almost every TV show is online now and you only have to wait a day or two before watching your programs.
4. The longer you go without watching the TV the more you’ll realize what a time waster it was. TV tells you what they want you to watch when they want to show it. The internet lets you watch when you to watch. Though if you have TIVO, (that’s ok too).
Benefits of Giving Up TV?
1. Time
2. Money – No more expensive cable tv package
3. Education – Using your time for more productive things.

Damn, now that’ll be a major change for most of us. We grew up being used to being glued on our screens, so it’s like changing a habit we’ve had for all our lives. It definitely will take a lot of work. It’s like trying to change your beliefs, the ones you’ve had ever since you were a kid. Takes much effort and time.
Well goodluck on your change, would say I’ll join u, but I’ve cut down on my TV watching with about 80 % for the past two years, so I think I have it on lock down currently.

This is one task that will be very hard for many people in the world, the TV has been part of so many peoples lives, for me personally I do watch TV but its not the be all or end all but I do find it a form of relaxation to sit there and just switch off or just to watch a really good movie. I did have a TV in my bedroom which I have since removed, so I guess that is a step in the right direction.
