Moving to New York City, Experience

So far I have decided to attempt to move to New York City. After traveling for nearly 2 months New York City seems like  an ideal place to spend the summer.  My experience in locating a room so far seems that it’s not easy, but it is possible with the right resources.

I’ve been using craigslis to look for the room in which it seems that though there are many options, there are so many variables like distance from the city, type of roommates, and cost.  Apartments in New York City seem to be very expensive, unless you are willing to sacrafice a few things.  One place I’ve been looking at right now seems more like a walk in closet at the size of 8×8 and no windows.

New York City is the city most people would like to live, but the demand is so high you pay for that right as well.  What $450 will get you in Michigan, will get you a walk in closet in New York City. $3000 a month for a place would cost you $700 in Michigan per month.  However the question is, who wants to live in Michigan vs who wants to live in New York City?  Apparently whatever 3000 divided by 700 is amount of more people. (probably even more than that)
