Ip Restrictions When Traveling Abroad, Using a VPN
Published by admin on June 23rd, 2009 | Tagged Blogging

Whenever I travel abroad, the most annoying thing is the IP restrictions that prevent me from accessing certain US sites.  A VPN is a great way to access sites in the USA since it basically reroutes your IP address through US websites.  Two services that are free and allow accessing Us websites include Hotspot Shield and Ultrasurf.

Hotspot Shield and Ultrasurf are essentially free VPN’ services which bypass Ip Restrictions on the internet by acting as a third party, more like the middle man between your internet access abroad so that all your data goes through a US connection and gets transfered to you.  This not only hides everything you do your service provider but tricks websites into thinking that you are in the usa.
