Why pay for the day when a service called BigBox lets you rent out dvds by the hour? For just 6 cents an hour BigBox will let you rent out movies. They charge 6 cents for new releases, 4 cents for old releases, and 9 cents per hour for Blu Ray discs. Currently these BigBox rental boxes are at the University of Wisconsin and a place called Mosquito Productions Headquarters.
Would it be worth to take out a movie for 6 hours at 36 cents? This might be the perfect solution for those people who just burn the cd. Whether this new way to rent movies will spread across the country is uncertain. All we know is, is that 6 cents is cheap and if you live near the rental box you’ll be spending barely anything to get your fix of movies. It might even be cheaper than Netflix, assuming you take the movie back right away.
