Find Black Friday Deals Early Site Sued by Walmart

Monday, October 6th, 2008

We love to find out the Black Friday deals before they came out, but Walmart thinks otherwise.  Walmart is again suing over a Black Friday site that publishes Walmart’s deals before they are officially released.

Walmart is clever and warns Black Friday sites before they even have time to put the ads up, trying to prevent mainly other competitors from finding out their sales pricing strategies for Black Friday.

Keep in mind however, that stores don’t own the pricing data sites display.  Sure they can’t publish the full colored ads, but expect, like every year, black friday deals to be made known far in advance of when they go on sale.

Scary Internet Ads Online

Monday, September 29th, 2008

There are some ads out there that just scare me.  These scary internet ads were created as a way to advertise something, but do they get the point across when they just plain out scare you?  Take this chick on this ad who just plain scares me.  Do women want to be super macho like her? Or is that a man?

Fake or Real Advertisements? Fake Food?

Thursday, September 25th, 2008

The advertisement we see for food are great looking, the perfect picture of food.  Probably the one in a million Hamburger.  How real is the advertisements we see and the adverts that entice us to eat food?

Models are photoshopped, burgers are displayed as absolute perfect, and vacation getaways are well also a dream.  At the same time, we look at these adverts and wonder if we too can achieve this perfection, the one that’s been created for you, but doesn’t exist.

Compare the advertised burger vs the fake one… what happened?  Doesn’t look so tasty does it?  The problem is we keep the image of the left burger in our mind and forget how unbeautiful the actual thing is.

What happens when our wildlife becomes fake too?  Do we need fake fish and cloned dogs?

Best Tools for Finding Keywords, Buying Keyword Domains

Thursday, September 18th, 2008

When determining what to write I used tools for finding the best keywords, which in the process also helps when it comes to buying keyword domains.  Before buying a domain, it is important to pick out the best keywords for your niche, and what better way than to use a tool to determine which keywords are the most highly searched.

Why You Should Use Keyword Tools

Keyword tools point out approximately how often a keyword is searched, and even good variations and synonyms of that keyword.  If you are targeting remote controls, you’d rather own a domain like “remotecontrols.com” than “jimbosremotes.com”.

I often use keywords to determine which posts I write for the day. I’d rather write about something that is highly searched, than something random that isn’t going to get me any google traffic.

Our List of the Best Tools for Finding Keywords

SeoDigger.com – Find out for which keywords your site ranks high enough to be in Google Top 20.  Helps you find out what the competition is targeting well.

Google Keyword Tool – The best tool out there.  Shows you how many times a keyword has been search as well as what advertisers are willing to pay for those keywords.

SpyFu.com – See what keywords website are paying for, if they are paying for any keywords at all.

SEOBook – A very good keyword tool for comparing traffic between search engines and a good way to find total expected traffic for a given keyword.
