Advertising Sex on the Internet?

Saturday, August 30th, 2008

We’ve seen them advertise free sex, paid sex on ebay, and now it’s even free oral sex from some guy in Louisville. We hope he’s not serious but most likely he is, advertising his free sex services online.

As stated on this guy’s site: “Since every woman is different in her wants and needs, I am offering FREE ORAL SEX to any woman who qualifies that e-mails me or signs up. No matter how good I may have been told that I am at my hobby, I know that everyone needs to constantly practice at anything they take pride in doing. ”

Good idea? We don’t think it will work, it seems pretty creepy, and I’m not sure I would want to live near that dude…

Wednesday, August 13th, 2008

Yahoo and Google have now “decided” to let users simply out of targeted ads on their networks, allowing users to simply decide not to have cookies track what they do online and therfore not see any targets ads.

Of course the ability to opt out of Google and Yahoo ads, doesn’t prevent these ads completely, rather, it just prevents them from using cookies to serve ads more relevant to what you are looking for.

Google’s Privacy In Regard to Targeted Ads:

Transparency – We provide detailed information about our advertising policies and practices.

Choice – We offer an opt-out for advertising cookies.

No personally identifiable information – We don’t collect or serve ads based on personal information without your permission.”

Of course the ability to apt out of targeted ads comes after “congressional scrutiny over the intrusiveness of online advertising and behavioral targeting.”  Yahoo and Google would rather let you opt out now, then be forced to later…

How can you opt out of Google and Yahoo ads?
