High Blog ECPM Earnings After the Holidays

Sunday, December 27th, 2009

Now that it is between Christmas and New Years blog ECPM has never been higher. One of my blogs even has an ecpm of $28 making my blog earnings much higher, making up for the crappy traffic I received during Christmas. During the New Year holiday, will blog traffic be low again? Probably at least for one or two days. However, once the holidays are over, blog ecpm earnings should be back to normal, if not better.

So during the holidays, expect a low ecpm, but in the best case, traffic could pick back up, giving you higher than ever ECPM. So don’t be down during the holidays, your earnings might go higher like mine have, at least wait to cry about your ecpm until after the holidays are over…

Getting EDU Blog Backlinks

Wednesday, October 21st, 2009

There are edu blogs out there, blogs with .edu ending that is, that are great for getting backlinks.  The great thing about edu blogs are they are excellent backlinks.  Since you can’t simply buy a .edu domain name, these domain extensions are given more trust and authority than your typical .com backlink.

How to Find EDU Blog Backlinks
There are a number of free tools for finding backlinks to edu blogs.  http://www.edublogfinder.com/ is a great way to search edu blogs for a place to comment and get your backlink.

Just find a few edu blogs and get your blog listed.  Or, if you belong to a university, see if you can get your own webpage and link your blog there for extra link love.

Best Ways To Get Links To Your Blog

Tuesday, October 13th, 2009

If you have a blog or a website you need websites linking to your blog to boost your page rank which will lead to better search results for your website. One way to do this is through getting links to your blogs. But what are the best ways to find and get links linking back to your blog?

Find Your Competitor’s Blog Links

1. You can easily find good links to your blog by searching related blogs for links. In Google, search this phrase: link:relatedblog.com Make sure relatedblog.com is written as a blog that is related. This will list all the links back to their blog letting you know where to start looking to get links to your blog.

2. Search Google.com/blogsearch for related blogs. I tend to add the phrase blogspot in there because blogspot blogs are the easiest to get your comment approved vs wordpress.com blogs which always seem to get marked as spam.
