How to Create a Good Couch Surfing Profile, Best Couch Surf Profile

Tuesday, November 18th, 2008

Did you know that couch surfing can score you a free couch anywhere in the world? Yes people do surf from couch to couch using a site like couchsurfing.com to travel and pay little for it.  But, how do you compete against the many other couch surfing profiles all looking for the same rooms?  You create a better coach surfing profile!

Couch Surfing allows you to yes travel the world and sleep free.  Couch Surfing allows you to meet interesting people worldwide and at the same save money so you can travel even more.

However, one of the main factors to whether you actually find a room is keeping the best Couch Surfing Profile.  A few tips as follows:

1. Make Your Profile Funny

A funny profile shows you are probably easy going like to laugh and have fun.  Besides, everyone loves a funny person.

2: Give Plenty of Details

Make sure you give plenty of information about yourself.  The more the better. Even though they are taking in you, a complete stranger for free, it might make them feel a bit more at ease knowing that they know a lot about you.  I remember taking a ride from Berlin to Stuttgart, Germany with some total strangers but it went fine… still it’s nice knowing more information about that person,

3. Show off your skills

Are you an amazing cook.  Travel with a guitar?  Make the best cocktails around?  Flaunt yourself and some free skills you might be able to provide.

4. Show How You Are An Open Person

By being open and accepting to other ideas, they know that most likely you won’t cause any issues during your stay.

5. Make Sure To Use Only Your Profile Pic

People want to see what you look like to get a good impression to see what you look like, not some stranger or a funny looking cow.  Keep it personal and use plenty of your own pictures.  Don’t you hate when that girl on the internet turns out to be a scary looking guy using fake pictures?
