You Can Learn Anything on YouTube?

Tuesday, September 8th, 2009

I’ve come to the conclusion that you can learn almost anything right on youtube, basic skills that is. From languages to tango dancing, it is there to learn on YouTube. No longer do you need to order instructional how to videos, it is all on YouTube. You can learn how to cook on YouTube, learn spanish, and even learn how to drive a car.

Of course you can’t learn advanced physics on YouTube or how to fly a plane (I hope), but the basics are all there. In fact just having the internet alone connects you to so many resources and ways to learn without paying anything.

How to Live each Day to Your Fullest

Friday, April 10th, 2009

One thing I’ve been trying to do lately each day is live each day to the fullest.  Make each day count, and don’t just sit in some routine in which life just flys by quickly.  One of the ways I’ve been able to live a fuller life is simple by traveling.  Everyday I meet new people, make brand new experiences, see things I only had seen in the movies and on TV.

How To Live Each Fuller
1. Change your day – Get out of that routine, and start doing things you normally wouldn’t do.  Go dancing, see an art show, go horseback riding.  The book/movie Yes Man is a great example of this.  Rather than always saying no to everything, the main character opened himself up and allowed himself to experience everything, even that which was just in his own town.

2. Be Social – Start talking to total strangers.  Though most stranger seem, well strange, you can still learn a lot from them.  Since traveling I’ve met so many people from across the world with so many interesting stories to share.

3. Break Your Fears – Start doing things you are afraid of.  Try sky diving, hang gliding, or even if you are afriad of flying, step into a plane.  We all have to die sometime, but what fun is it if you just take everything safe, and die in your bed.

So start living life to it’s fullest potential and get out there, and really live your life.

Fastest Way To Lose Weight, Losing Weight Fast

Friday, February 6th, 2009

I’ve been on a diet in an attempt to lose weight before it starts warming up.  While may people think to lose weight you have to starve yourself and run until you puke, it doesn’t have to be that way if you really want to lose weight fast.  There are actually a few practical diets that will help you lose weight and still satisfied and it doesn’t require a monthly fee.

The Best Diets to Lose Weight
1. The Raw Food Diet – This diet basically will make you a vegan.  You are only allowed to eat food, raw, unprocessed.  This diet is very limiting and most people get sick on the first few days of losing weight through the diet.  However, almost everyone on the diet has reported losing weight very quickly.  The biggest problem with this diet is actually trying to get enough calories.
2. Pyramid Diet – This diet was developed to help meet the feed requirements needed each day while getting only about 1200 calories per day.

0-3 servings (use sparingly) fats, oils, sweets
2-3 servings (6 – 9 ounces) meat/protein
2-3 servings dairy
2-4 servings fruit
3-5 servings vegetables
6-11 servings bread/starch
Losing Weight Tools
A few tool to help on your journey include:
1) CalorieKing -Find out the nutrition of what you are eating, including fat content, and calories.
2) Calories in Various Food – A listing of common calorie counts in typical food.
3) Calories Needed Calculator – Calculate how many calories you require in one day to maintain your weight.  Eat 500 calories under this to lose weight.

If you work online often it is really easy to gain weight considering the fridge is not far away, and lets face it, sitting on the computer half the day does not provide a whole lot of exercise.

How To Get Rich Now, Getting Immediately Rich

Thursday, February 5th, 2009

Ok the title of this get rich post is a bit deceiving.  My whole getting rich now post is more a guide on why you are already rich. Since so many people get frustrated trying to make it “rich” by blogging, I’m dedicating a few posts each month to just why you are already rich.  Richer than you might think.

Some figures: 1% of the world population has a college degree. If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish someplace … you are among the top 8% of the world’s wealthy. Just by owning a computer you are one of the richest people on the planet.

Seems fair? Not really. It is so easy to get caught in our own lives of who owns what and what we want vs what we really need, it is easy to forget about the rest of the starving planet. Even just working at Mc Donald’s means you have one of the best paying jobs in the world, compared to those starving billions.

How about instead of feeling unhappy about what you don’t have, appreciate what you do have, any maybe even reduce that? So yes, you are already rich, just be being able to read this post.
