Ways to Fight Winter Depression

Winter depression effects many due to the lack of sun, the fact that in the winter it is really cold outside, and for some seasonal depression is a real problem.

Using a Light Box
One way to fight winter depression is simply through something called a light box.  This light box is usually for people who have season winter depression and need to get exposed to  10,000 Lumens of nice UV ligtening.  (Check out the guide via this link)

Tanning Away Your Depression
Tanning booths are supposedly also a great way to fight the winter depression feeling. It’s all about UV rays. Supplementing Vitamin D may have a profoundly positive effect of seasonal depression.

Dieting Can Fight Depression
Did you know that cutting back on carbs can also give you an antidepressant effect?  Yep cutting back the carbs is not only a great way to lose weight but feel better at the same time.

So if you are feeling held back this winter and depresion is looming, get some sun.

How to Increase Your Wealth, Get Richer in One Day

Here it is, the true way to increase your wealth and get richer in just one day.  They don’t tell you true story behind increasing your wealth.  Getting richer doesn’t involve schemes, plans, or secret guidebooks.

To increase your wealth you need to:

1) Decrease your wants.  If you can resist media temptation and want less, you are richer already.

2) Find happiness without possessions. Does it take a new tv to make you happy? Sometimes volunteering or participating in an activity in a group is more rewarding than that new tv you purchased.  Wealth isn’t always measure by the amount of things you own.

3)  Live practical.  If a car gets you from A to B does it matter what it cost?  Do you really need a mansion or is a small 2 bedroom house more than enough?

4) Live behind the times.  If you live behind the times, you can afford everything that is a few years old much more than the newest technology.  For me an X-Box would be a step up.  Now you can pick up an X-Box original for cheap since everyone wants the latest and greatest.  Living a bit farther behind lets you enjoy more for less.

Conclusion on increasing your wealth

When I was growing up I thought it would be great to have wealth to buy things, and the key to happiness was building wealth.  Wealth does equal less worry, but not happiness.  Now I’ve reduced what I own to two suitcases full of stuff.  I don’t own a car, or a bike.

To me now, wealth is more about the value you get out of your daily life.  If you like life and form meaningful experiences, that is more than you will ever get out of the latest Playstation, or fast sports car.

As Benjamin Franklin once said “There are two ways to increase your wealth. Increase your means or decrease your wants.”

How to Sleep Better at Night, Tips for Sleeping Better

Feel tired after sleeping a full 8 hours? One of the reasons for your morning fatigue is often the overnight fasting that took place while you were asleep.   When you sleep you’ll often have lower blood sugar making you often feeling tired when you wake up.

1. Try consuming 1-2 tablespoons of flaxseed oil before going to bed.

2. Try eating a small snack before you sleep.  Often I’ll eat a small non-fat jogurt with some orange slices or some nuts.  Nothing too fattening, but something that will get a little extra food in your stomach before you sleep.

3. Take a nice ice bath before you sleep.  Try sticking some ice in a bathtub and then sitting in there a while.  Studies have shown that a cold bath helps bring the onset of sleeping. (It takes awhile to get used to it.)

Lose 20 Lbs In One Month, How To Lose 20 Lbs in One Month

Yes it is possible to lose up to 20 lbs in one month without any exercise at all.  No it doesn’t mean starving yourself, well maybe to some extent.

To Lose those lbs, Avoid White Carbs
This means bread, rice, cereal, potatoes, pasta all have to get cut out.  You can however eat these after 1 hour or so of a hard workout.

Foods You Should Eat
Create meals with the following foods:
Egg whites with one whole egg for flavor
Chicken breast or thigh
Grass-fed organic beef
Pork

Beans:
Lentils
Black beans
Pinto beans

Veggies:
Spinach
Asparagus
Peas
Mixed vegetables

Drinking calories should be avoided!
This means not to drink milk, normal soft drinks, or fruit juice. I would however recommend drinking loads of water, followed with if you must, diet pops, nonsweetened teas, or any low calorie beverages

Saturday (or any other) is junk food day
That’s right eating crap can help you lose weight. Many would recommend one break day per week, which actually will help you lose weight!
